During the last year or so, we’ve been disappointed by the lack of true ideation tools for the smart phone platform. Roger von Oech was a pioneer in porting his Creativity Whack Pack over to the small screen (awesome app, BTW!) and there have been a few others, notably IdeaGen and BrainStormer. But we’ve been hoping for so much more…
The idea of a go-anywhere tool that you can use to catalyze ideas on demand is a compelling one, at least to my way of thinking. We know there’s more potential than what we’ve seen so far.
To this end we have decided to take things into our own hands by launching our own smart phone apps starting with out latest IDEATION APPLICATION – the RIFFER!
The RIFFER is simple and easy to use. Just hit the trigger button and the app conjures up two unrelated images from its vast (only small in the LITE version) library. Once up, the images naturally start a chain reaction in your mind as your playful “child mind” spontaneously starts to create connections between them – some of which can be completely WHACKY!!! But hey thats where some of the best ideas come from!
We have lots more IDEA-APPS in the pipe line including a piece of screen writing software called C.L.O.T (Character, Location, Object and Theme) which will help potential screenwriters/playwrights create sparkling and original new stories and plays.
